I Wish I Had Something Better To Post Than This Awesome Poster Of Nancy Botwin

But I don’t. So if you’re ok with that then so am I.

At least you all know what I did instead of writing something worth reading.

Yeah. Season six baby 😉

Stop, drop and roll

All I’m doing here is writing something, anything so that I don’t break the winning streak I’ve got going with the Red October posts (ie. posting everyday for the entire month of October).

Originally I was going to just put up a picture of another SERIOUSLY HOT BELTER, but J-Rab put her foot down for all the single ladies (all the single ladies) all the single ladies (all the single ladies) and insisted I post a hot guy.

So yeah. Ta-daa.

Da doom.
Tsshh.

The Tiger Life – Episode 1

Alrighty, let’s do this!

Like I said, this is ok – I had to scale down the video quite a lot to get it to upload right so the visuals have lost a bit of their sharpness and clarity, but overall, the best part of doing this whole thing was shooting it on the Nokia N8 I’m using right now.

So kick back, grab a froo-froo vodka cocktail and check out The Tiger Life – Episode 1.

Stay tuned for more Tiger shenanigans in next week’s episode!

It’s ALIIVVVEEEEE!

At long last, after much hair-tearing, swearing, drinking, bashing stuff, swearing some more, crying in exasperation and contemplating suicide, I’ve finished cutting the first episode of The Tiger Life together and guys, I don’t wanna blow smoke up my arse here or anything, but wow!

It’s sort of ok.

I could do better. Given more time and a more powerful editing suite, shit, I could make magic.

So come back tomorrow when I can use the company’s bandwidth to upload this sick puppy.

Good times Winking smile

Fuck You Windows Movie maker

Because that’s what I’ve spent my entire Sunday doing, fucking editing like a maniac to get the first episode of The Tiger Life ready for tomorrow and I’ve still got about another 5 hours to go before I’m there. Hopefully.

All I can say is if anyone out there knows a free video editing programme that has decent functionality and doesn’t need a Trojan of a machine to actually run, please let me know.

Thank you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to drill my brain out.

SlickTiger Industries Presents: The Tiger Life

So I checked out the Smirnoff gig at The Grand Cafe where the big announcement was made saying which country we are swopping crates with and actually had a rocking time.

I made a whole bunch of new friends who, like me, are pretty crazy fuckers and even got an opportunity to interview DJs Fresh and Euphonik using the new shiny N8 that the kind folks at Nokia have given me to review for the next month.

So who are we swopping crates with? Well, instead of doing the usual SlickTiger thing of just writing a whole load of blahblahblah, I’m upping the ante on this one slightly and I’m gonna cut together the video I shot at the event into an all-new web series that I plan to make a regular feature on this site.

Starting Monday, you can watch all the crazy shenanigans your buddy ‘ol pal SlickTiger gets up to in a radass show I’m calling: THE TIGER LIFE – shot entirely on the N8.

Watch this space muthufukkahs, shit’s just about to get interesting 😉

Album Review: Brandon Flowers – Flamingo

The Killers had a good thing going. Both Hot Fuss and Sam’s Town shook up the music scene with their hook-heavy indie ballads, foot-tappingly infectious riffs and Brandon Flowers’ primal sincerity in nearly every line he sang.

But with the release of Day And Age music critics began suspecting that the band was losing the magic that made The Killers killer. The band did what every band does when they start running out of ideas, they played it safe and as a result Day And Age had very little going for it and ended up turning a lot of diehard fans off The Killers altogether.

So it was no real surprise when Brandon Flowers announced he was striking out alone and even less of a surprise when the first single off Flamingo landed sounding almost exactly like the material Flowers used to play with The Killers.

Give it a few listens though and it quickly becomes apparent that while there are a lot of similarities between The Killers and Flowers’ solo album, there are enough differences to keep it interesting and given time, Flamingo reveals an amazing depth that it’s easy to miss if you aren’t listening carefully.
