Escape Monday: Everyday Objects Rendered Useless

Giuseppe-Colarusso-phenomenal-illusions-2This one appeals to my warped sense of humour. Italian artist Giuseppe Colarusso has taken photos of everyday objects and with his slick photoshopping skills, rendered them completely useless.

I thought this would make for a great Escape Monday post because if you’re feeling useless today then maybe you can relate and who knows, maybe this will make you feel better.

That’s what this site is all about. I’m not in it for the money or the fame or even the rad free shit. I’m in it for you guys, to give you something to smile about on what is probably a pretty shite day otherwise.

Escape Monday: Floaty Girls

NikolayTikhomirov9The craziest thing about this Monday is that I have no idea yet how badly I want to escape it. It only turned Monday 17 minutes ago at the time of writing this, so who knows what the day ahead will hold.

Having said that, it’s a pretty safe bet that I’ll want to escape it based purely on the fact that the weekend has ended and for the next five days I’m going to be working like a slave.

I always find the middle months of the year after April are when things really kick into high gear work-wise. So before today kicks your ass in the head, dig these awesome pics of floaty girls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The photographer behind this crazy series of pics is Nikolay Tikhomirov (check out more of his work here).

What I’d like to know is how he managed to create these images. Conventional wisdom says insane deep etching on Photoshop, but that doesn’t really explain how he got these girls in these poses in the first place.

I’m going to go with “magic” on this one. The man is obviously some kind of Russian Wizard like Rasputin or something.

How To Be A Functioning Alcoholic On Facebook

Drunk_06Before I even start this post, I feel I need to be straight up with you guys and tell you that all of what you’re about to see is shamelessly ripped off Sad And Useless.

Great. Now that I’ve got that off my chest, let’s dive right in to today’s subject matter, disguising your rampant alcoholism on Facebook, something that I know I for one struggle with.

It’s a known fact that the biggest downside of Facebook is that family and work colleagues can all see just how wizasted you got on the weekend by trawling your pics. Well, I’m here to tell you those days are finally OVER.

All you need is a couple of rudimentary photoshop skills and access to a gigantic database of cat images and you too can disguise your debilitating habit and fool everyone into thinking you’re a swell guy.

Confused about what the fuck I’m getting at? Me too! About time we switched to visuals so I can carry on mainlining vodka…
